Jim Gold
Jim Gold serves as the Chief Executive Officer, board member, and part of the Executive Leadership Team at Steward Partners, which he co-founded in 2013. With 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Jim has a proven track record of leadership, innovation, and building elite, top performing executive teams.
Jim began his career at Smith Barney in 1995 as a Financial Advisor and quickly distinguished himself through his dedication, vision, and ability to inspire others. Over his 18-year tenure with Smith Barney and its successor firms, he advanced into senior leadership roles, including National Training Officer, Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager, and Complex Manager.
At Steward Partners, Jim’s leadership philosophy is rooted in collaboration, empowerment, and alignment. Steward is a firm where every member—regardless of role or title—has a voice in shaping the organization’s direction. This vision has translated into a partnership culture, where shared success is a cornerstone of the firm’s ethos.

Outside of work, Jim a and his wife, Elizabeth, have four adult children: Will, Conor, Kiera, and Braedon, as well as a daughter-in-law, Annie and son in law Andrew. Jim has two grandchildren, Liam and Kennedy. Jim also supports numerous charitable organizations, including the American Heart Association, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the Pan-Mass Challenge, the Wounded Warrior Project, Wreaths Across America, the ASPCA, Tunnels to Towers, Feeding America and the World Wildlife Fund.
